How is the risk calculated?
petgenoma calculates a risk based on the detection of several genetic markers evaluated in the laboratory, chosen from scientific data known for each breed. The effects of these markers are added together, forming a "polygenic risk score". The final value is what is shown as low, medium or high risk for your dog.
